Process of Making the Handmade Epoxy Terrazzo Table

  1. Selecting Natural Materials: The process began by handpicking treated beach stones, which were meticulously cut and chiseled to the desired size. Additionally, custom-cut marble chips were chosen to add a luxurious touch to the aggregate.

  2. Creating the Cement Base: High-quality, heavy-duty cement was mixed with black iron oxide pigment, giving the table its rich, deep black hues. This formed the durable and solid base for the terrazzo surface.

  3. Incorporating the Aggregate: The custom-prepared beach stones and marble chips were carefully inlaid into the cement mixture, ensuring a balanced and aesthetically pleasing distribution. Each stone was placed by hand to achieve the perfect pattern and texture.

  4. Curing and Setting: After the aggregate was embedded, the cement cured, allowing it to set and bond with the stones and marble chips. This process ensured the structural integrity of the table.

  5. Applying the Epoxy Resin Layers: Multiple layers of high-quality epoxy resin were applied over the cured cement. Each layer was meticulously spread to achieve a flawless finish that not only sealed the surface but also enhanced the depth and vibrancy of the underlying materials.

  6. Sanding and Polishing: Once the epoxy dried, the surface underwent a rigorous sanding process, moving through multiple levels of sanding from coarse to fine grit. This step was repeated to achieve an ultra-smooth and glossy finish that brought out the intricate details of the stones and marble chips.

  7. Adding Final Touches: The table received final polishing and treatment, ensuring its surface was smooth, durable, and resistant to wear. The result was a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted table that combined natural beauty with modern craftsmanship.
